Watercolor – Untitled #1
This 1997 Watercolor describes a landscape view immersed in a golden and diffuse light. The work exploits the maximum transparency of the water technique to dissolve the contours of nature into an airy and suspended composition, typical of the early morning hours or twilight quiet.
The composition is dominated in the upper half by a luminous sky modulated on tones of pale yellow, soft amber, and veiled brightness. In the background, the hilly profiles fade into delicate lavender and ash blue shades, while the lower portion is defined by fluid patches of olive green, sage, and touches of ochre suggesting trees and soft grassy slopes.
A small-format work on paper characterized by great visual lightness and tonal balance, suitable for intimist graphic collections or to embellish walls of studies and gathered living environments.
