Watercolor – Piazza Cisterna San Gimignano
This 2015 watercolor portrays Piazza della Cisterna in San Gimignano with marked architectural realism. The work documents the historic square, placing the famous cistern in the center and framing it between the medieval palaces and the silhouette of the tower.
Daylight defines the brick and tufa facades with warm ochre and Siena earth tones, contrasting them with a sky moved by soft light blue and gray glazes. An urban view rich in details, ideal for collectors of historical glimpses and for embellishing professional studios.
