Watercolor – Volo
“Volo” (Flight) is a small-format original watercolor in which Fiorella concentrates extraordinary pictorial density. The artwork completely detaches itself from landscape depiction to explore pure textural abstraction.
A large black spot, deep and frayed, dominates the center of the paper like a storm cloud. Below it, a blood-red and ochre-yellow terrain is furrowed by decisive marks and scratches on the paper, giving three-dimensionality and roughness. The contrast with the clear blue at the top right is sharp and unsettling.
An informal jewel. Ideal for collectors looking for small artworks with great emotional character and dramatic strength.
