Watercolor – Tuscan valleys
A large-format 2014 landscape tackling the classic theme of the Tuscan hills through an extreme dilution of color. The work aims to return the vastness and luminosity of the territory, canceling sharp contours in favor of atmospheric suggestion.
A lower band in warm ochre tones acts as a base for a succession of gentle slopes rendered with light glazes of acid green and pale blue. Isolated cypresses act as slight visual anchor points in a scene otherwise dominated by a diffuse and almost dazzling light. Excellent as a main painting for large living areas or bedrooms with light and relaxing tones.
