Watercolor – Tribute to Turner #2
This 2002 watercolor reinterprets the lesson of the great English master through an explosion of atmospheric light and impalpable glazes. The composition eschews defined details to rely entirely on the warmth of yellow and ochre tones, which fade softly toward the lower part of the work.
The hilly masses in the lower right barely emerge through earthy, blended brushstrokes, creating a sharp contrast with the luminous expanse of the sky. A medium-format work with strong lyrical impact, ideal for enhancing living rooms or refined studios.
